Cafe Castelara
The Castelara Estate is located at a height between 1600 to 1700 meters above sea level; It has an exuberant fauna, varieties of wild orchids, with all the characteristics to develop tourist projects.
Read MoreIn the 70s, Mr. Carlos Castillo Villarreal bought the farm from Mr. Sebastián Miranda, cultivated with Creole coffee. Later, Mr. Carlos Castillo Villarreal, in the 80s, bought another coffee estate from Mr. Julio Estribí, and managed to unite the two coffee estate. In 2005, Mr. Carlos Castillo (son) bought another coffee estate from Mr. Carlos Iván Zúñiga. Currently the three coffee estate are united, and all are cultivated with coffee, fruit trees and have forest areas and forests.

In previous years, Castelara Estate achieved the first place in Special Cafes. Currently, the production of coffee of the Catuaí, Pacamara and Geisha varieties continues. The coffe estate is cultivated in its majority of the Catuaí variety, with some plots in production of Geisha.
Our objective at Castelara Estate, is the production of quality specialty coffee, using good agricultural practices, we make our own organic fertilizer of coffee pulp, in order to condition the soil improving its humus content, stimulating the micro and meso biological life of the soil.
