The Ant

Everything that one lives and sees, we remember it or write it. On a tour of a coffee estate, I sat down to rest and saw the dedicated work of an animal from the kingdom of invertebrates (the ant), and in my mind that day the words is were weaving that despite the fact that each one came from different disciplines, each one they were fitting perfectly.

Currently, trade and the world economy have varied, they have changed, some economists describe them as the economy of ants (since 1992 the term exists, and its enunciator Gary Becker won the Nobel Prize in Economics). In this case, large corporations have been moving (an activity that makes to be them what they are) and many times without realizing it since the inertia of the relative movement, in its stopped moment is imperceptible because, even when stopped, they continue move until the Inertia loses its action, and most of the time it is upswing again before the inertia is zero (and in this time, the motors of the movement are not switched off).

But the economy did not continue to move at the same pace (as a great statistical statement says, only wars, pandemics and catastrophes change a trend), which in this case the period 2020-2021 stopped (COVID19 pandemic) and when it started up it was perceived the change (if this had not happened they would never it´s notice changes and inertia would continue to do its work where it does not allow us to see the opportunities and changes, and the point of a global inflection occurred), and every time that technology and communication are be avant-garde, the stronger the inflection will be and the reverse inertia occurs: the weight of what is stopped will not allow it to move easily again.

The same guidelines and policies still persist in large corporations; But the world changed (in the same way that the inertia of the relative movement does not allow them to see or feel; in the same way, decisions will come at times when opportunities are taken advantage of by others who do see them coming).

Now we are more ants in the market moving an economy; and the large corporations did not notice it before, because they did not exist, they were not interested, or it was not a representative critical mass for their operation with millionaire financial results … now they do (for sample a button: The Chinese Economy), thousands doing independent activities but collectively.

Once upon a time, there was a story: a zoologist meeting with a group of children, they asked him: what is the biggest animal in the forest? and he answered them: the ants; and all laughed. It all depends on how quickly we adapt to the cyclical processes that have been taking place in the history of humanity, only that each one with the touch of its time.
